Q. How does hypnosis help me become a non-smoker?
A. Hypnosis is a very natural state and yet a powerful technique of focused relaxation that enables the subconscious mind to be receptive to positive suggestions. It is a client-centered process, in which the specific issues of the individual are addressed based on their particular goals, motivations and vulnerabilities. Hypnosis allows the subconscious mind to become stronger and more effective in eliminating cigarettes from your life. The changes begin immediately because, through the increased strength and focus of your subconscious mind, you are in total control. Following hypnosis, you are much more aware of the positive aspects that have initiated your decision to spend the rest of your life as a non-smoker.
Q. Can I be hypnotized?
A. Anyone of normal or higher intelligence can be hypnotized. The suggestions and instructions which are placed into the subconscious mind, while the subject is in a relaxed state, enables and accomplishes changes in habits and behaviors. It is not necessary to be in a deep trance in order to achieve positive results. Your Master Hypnotist does not have "control of your mind" and you would never do anything that would be against your free will or moral standards.
Q. How do I know whether I am a good candidate to be a non-smoker through hypnosis?
A. Whether you have stopped smoking once or many times before, or have never tried to stop smoking, one of the most important aspects to insure long-term success is your knowing, understanding, and accepting that for you, there is no such thing as "just one" cigarette. If you still believe that you can smoke once in a while, when you get stressed or just on special occasions, you are probably not a good candidate for ANY smoking cessation program at this time.
Q. Will I still experience cravings or urges to smoke cigarettes after I have been hypnotized?
A. After the first hypnosis session, many people report an absence of any desire to smoke. Others state that even though they may have some thoughts about smoking a cigarette, the thought or desire is manageable and passes quickly.
Q. How many visits will it take?
A. Your Master Hypnotist has a 3 session smoking cessation program to insure long lasting, permanent results. You will, however, be free of cigarettes after your first session. The second and subsequent session are focused on all the benefits that you are now enjoying as a non-smoker. We will also explore and deal with the issues that have perhaps taken you back to cigarette smoking in the past.
Q. Will I gain weight when I become non-smoker?
A. If you have problems or issues with your weight prior to your becoming a non-smoker, or you have serious concerns of weight control following your sessions, all worries will be discussed and resolved during your hypnosis sessions. Your Master Hypnotist will give you hypnotic suggestions during your smoking cessation sessions that will assist you in eating properly as your body re-adjusts to your healthier lifestyle as a non-smoker.
